Slow Start To New Digital Platform Stymies Nautilus In Q4

Last November, Nautilus Inc. introduced its new digital platform, Max Intelligence, with hopes of driving stronger sales in the company’s direct segment, but slower-than-expected adoption rates contributed to a soft fourth quarter for the company. Nautilus on Monday reported net sales for Q4 of $115.4 million, a 9.7 percent decrease compared to the same quarter of 2017.

Big 5 Logs Loss In Q4, Sees Improvement In Q1

Big 5 Sporting Goods Corp. reported a loss of $5.1 million, or 24 cents a share, due to asset impairment and contract termination charges and lower margins. Same-store sales improved 1.1 percent in the period. The west-coast sporting goods chain predicted a profit against a loss in the first quarter.

Fox Factory Revenue Jumps 30 Percent In Q4

Fox Factory Holding Corp. on Tuesday reported sales for the fourth quarter increased 29.5 percent to $156.8 million compared to $121.1 million in the same period last fiscal year. Net income was $20.1 million, or 52 cents of earnings per diluted share, compared to $2.8 million, or 7 cents of earnings per diluted share in the same period a year ago

Mike Dennison To Replace Larry Enterline As Fox Factory CEO

Fox Factory Holding Corp. on Tuesday announced Larry Enterline will retire from the role of CEO after eight years with the company, and become executive chairman of the board, on June 29. Concurrently, Mike Dennison, Fox’s president, powered vehicles group, will become CEO.

Macy’s Inc. reported earnings on an adjusted basis dipped slightly in the fourth quarter but came ahead of updated guidance provided in early January. Macy’s also announced a restructuring plan that will will but 100 vice-president level or above roles, “to increase the speed of decision making.”
