AstroTurf promoted Rob Mitchell to vice president, business development. Mitchell previously worked as AstroTurf’s director of rugby and as a regional sales manager in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Indiana.

Key action items for Mitchell will be working on product development, recycling and substantiality initiatives. He will also work with the Synthetic Turf Council, The University of Tennessee research project and represent AstroTurf on the NFL committee.

Mitchell worked in sales for Continental Resources in Chicago and at Lyons Township Soccer Club as its executive director before joining AstroTurf in 2014.

Mitchell reports to Philip Snider, AstroTurf’s chief operations officer.
