Ashworth is opening its first Resort concept shop at Parisian Riverchase Galleria on October 18th. The shop will feature the latest in multimedia and interactive technology as well as a full selection of Ashworth apparel and Callaway Golf apparel including products designed exclusively for Resort shops around the country.
The Resort Shop at Riverchase Galleria will feature an interactive kiosk, plasma screen technology featuring Ashworth and Callaway Golf videos along with live TV of major sporting events in the lounge area. In addition, all Resort Shops will feature a putting green with a selection of Odyssey putters and Callaway Golf balls for customers to demo.
Ashworth has partnered with Sports Illustrated and Travel & Leisure Golf to provide additional promotional opportunities to consumers in all Resort Shops, including gift with purchase, and register to win programs on a consistent basis.
Gary Sims, VP of Sales, stated, “We feel that the opportunity exists for an outside the box presentation that combines great product, technology and visual enhancements to pull consumers in. We have two outstanding brands: Ashworth and Callaway Golf apparel. Both businesses are coming off a very strong spring season at retail. Our door count is up 125%, and comp store sales were up 18% at retail. We have the ability to offer our retail partners two global lifestyle brands that capture a broad range of price points and looks ranging from fashion product made in Italy to key item basics in all classifications. The new Resort Shops will reflect this breadth of product and the interactive, multimedia elements will make the Resort Shop a destination point on the mens' floor.”
Ashworth apparel and Callaway Golf apparel will open the second Resort Shop at the McRae's store at Turtle Creek in late October.
