Following the successful acquisition of Salomon, Amer Sports Corporation is reorganizing the management structure of the French company and its subsidiaries. Jean-Luc Diard will remain in his position as president of Salomon and Philippe Dubé also remains in charge of Salomon winter sports equipment. Jari Melgin, who was formerly Amer Sports treasurer and head of investor relations, will now be in charge of finance and administration at Salomon. Jean-Marc Pambet remains head of Salomon outdoor and winter sports softgoods and Jacques Dorcier is still head of human resources. Bernard Millaud remains as CEO of Mavic and Tyler Jordan is CEO of Arc’Teryx. Amer Sports still plans to appoint a VP of sales and marketing and Mr. Melgin’s replacement.

“I believe that Salomon's simplified management structure, with new blood from Amer Sports, will ensure the achievement of targeted synergies within the group,” said Roger Talermo, president and CEO of Amer Sports.

Amer said the aim of the restructuring was to “efficiently integrate the business operations of Amer Sports and Salomon,” but it appears that two steps were taken with the announcement — Amer signaled these executives will keep their jobs and the company placed Mr. Melgin as a liaison between Amer and Salomon.
