Aetrex Worldwide, the footwear and footcare company, said Sigurd Lee has joined the company as director of sales, Athletic Channel. Lee has extensive experience in the athletic apparel and footwear industry, including 26 years at Nike, where he held numerous positions including director of national sales development and regional sales manager where he managed seventeen states.
“Over the past few years we have expanded our product development team to include top athletic designers and have created innovative products and technologies for this market,” says Matt Schwartz, Vice President of Sales, Aetrex. “Were looking to Lee to work with our sales team to bring these products to independent athletic retailers and service oriented chains.”
Lee is one of several high-profile footwear industry veterans to join Aetrex in the past year, including Susan Ryder, Womens Product Director, Bruce Finestone, Eastern Regional Sales Manager and John Brewer, Director of Sales for the Shoe Retail Channel. Their combined experience plays a key factor in Aetrexs strategic transformation from the leading pedorthic footwear brand to one of the industrys fastest growing and most innovative brands in mens and womens dress, casual and high performance footwear.

During his tenure at Nike, Lee and his team increased sales in all product line categories including apparel, footwear and equipment lines. Prior to joining Aetrex, Lee was the National Accountant Executive for DeSoto Mills, the hosiery division of Russell Corp.
