Adidas and designer, Yohji Yamamoto, return with the second Y-3 Atelier collection, dropping today, March 15. The collection introduces elegantly tailored apparel that harmonizes Adidas’ performance heritage with Yamamoto’s avant-garde design style.
The apparel takes original Yamamoto and Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme designs from the designer’s recent runway collection and recreates them using seam-sealed waterproof 3-layer Gore-Tex fabric while maintaining the original silhouettes.
The apparel, in monochromatic black, features extended seams and flap pockets in vests, coats, parkas, blousons, jackets, and blazers with reflective logo embellishments. The silhouettes repurpose the original runway pieces in a new context.
The Y-3 Atelier collection is available through select Yohji Yamamoto and Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme stores, Wildside Yohji Yamamoto online and in-store, and through a curated selection of global retailers and Y-3 stores.
