Adams USA is liquidating after selling its Adams, Trace, Bolco, Neumann and Bucks brands and inventory for their spring 2015 catalogs to Schutt Sports.

Adams USA said it would kick off a factory sale Monday to liquidate the balance of its inventory as well as machinery at its 200,000-square-foot factory in Cookeville, TN.

Kranos Corporation, which does business as Schutt  Sports, acquired the assets in mid-October, according to Bill Melvin, CEO of Liquid Asset Partners LLC, which Adams USA has hired to run the factory sale. The sale will include baseball helmets, gloves, catchers masks, T-ball stands, sliding shorts, knee guards, football masks, gloves, jerseys, mouth guards, girdles, shoulder pads, knee pads and referee gear.

“A huge inventory of sporting goods and athletic gear needs to be liquidated fast,” Melvin said.

Melvin is advertising the sale as a “once in a lifetime opportunity” for schools, parents, and sports retailers to save on gear for the upcoming year, “especially since the discounts will be taken off Dealer Price and continue to increase until everything is sold. A sale of this magnitude is unprecedented in state history. It will be the kind of sale people talk about for years to come.”
