Academy Sports + Outdoors will open a store in Denham Springs, LA, just outside of Baton Rouge. The new store, located at the northwest corner of Juban St. and I-20, is part of the Juban Crossing retail development and will add 150 new jobs to the area. Academy also announced the renewal of its multi-year partnerships with the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers.

“We're thrilled active-minded families in the Livingston Parish area will soon have their own convenient Academy to shop for fun family products at our everyday low prices,” said Tammi Hysell, Academy Sports + Outdoors' senior director of promotions. “The store will be stocked with everything from LSU and Saints gear, to fishing and hunting equipment so families can spend more time together outdoors or cheering on their favorite teams.”

The 71,000 square foot store will be Academy's 17th in Louisiana and third in the Baton Rouge area. The store will offer a new digital golf simulator for golfers to test-drive Academy's wide selection of clubs, plus a new archery shop with a lane for customers to try out and be fitted for the right bow. Customers will enjoy the store services they are familiar with at the two existing Baton Rouge locations, such as assembly and delivery, hunting and fishing licenses, scope mounting, bore sighting, line winding/spooling, propane exchange and racquet stringing.

“Our organizations both share a strong passion for serving our communities, our fans, their families, and cheering on the Tigers,” saidWard Wyatt, general manager of LSU Sports Properties. “We congratulate Academy Sports + Outdoors on the opening of the Denham Springs store and we're excited about our continued partnership.”

Academy Sports + Outdoors is the official sporting goods retailer of the New Orleans Saints, CCA Louisiana, and LSU Athletics.

“We're excited to continue our long-standing partnership with Academy Sports + Outdoors,” said Jean-Paul Dardenne, New Orleans Saints senior vice president of corporate partnerships. “Academy has been a fantastic partner to our fans and communities across Louisiana. We are proud to continue to have them as part of the Saints family.”
