The GolfWorks has appointed former Clubmaker of the Year Kevin Redfern as the new Technical Manager of The GolfWorks, U.K.
Owner and operator of Custom Golf Stix in London and recipient of the Golf Clubmakers Association (GCA) European Clubmaker of the Year award, Redfern has worked closely with leading amateurs and professional players on all the European tours, including his idol Seve Ballesteros. He has officially served at numerous tour events, and has a wealth of experience with integrating technical custom-fitting theory with the immediate needs of a customer entering the shop for the first time. He is an accredited member of GCA, and in 1998 he earned the GCAs prestigious European Clubmaker of the Year award. He has also provided Tour workshops for the Weetabix British Open at Sunningdale Golf Club and for the W.P.G.A. Championship of Europe at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club.
“Were delighted to announce that Kevin has joined us as Technical Manager,” says Al Bessin, co-CEO of The GolfWorks. “Kevin has earned many distinctions as a professional clubmaker and we are pleased to welcome him to The GolfWorks, U.K. He has extensive experience in both the technical and the business aspects of clubfitting and clubmaking, and his establishment and growth of a very successful clubfitting and repair business in the London area shows his resourcefulness and commitment to quality custom clubmaking.”
