The trade show will continue to be held at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City and follow Grassroots Outdoor Alliance’s Connect event, June 6-9, at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy, UT. In between the two events, on June 10, there will be a co-sponsored “Specialty Retailer Education Day.”

That helped the squishy shoe brand reduce its loss in the third quarter to -$5.4 million, against a deficit of $27.8 million during the same period a year ago. Still, a weak retail environment had officials predicting a sales slump between 7 and 11 percent for its fourth quarter 2016.

Jump in net income reported by Vista Outdoor Inc. for the third quarter 2016. This pushed the Utah-based company to a profit of $73.2 million, or $1.22 per fully diluted share, compared to 52 cents in the prior-year quarter, thanks largely to its recent outdoor product segment acquisitions.

Active customers at German online fashion and active lifestyle retailer Zalando, an increase of 2 million from the year before. On average, each of those customers placed 3.4 orders and spent €213 during the third quarter. Zalando reported sales grew 17.1 percent during the third quarter, albeit slightly slower than the 42.2 percent increase during the year-ago period.

Charted by Puma’s footwear category in the third quarter 2016. Ramping 16.4 percent, footwear continued to drive the strongest growth for the company, showing an improvement in sales for the ninth quarter in a row. This is partly due to a resurgence in Puma’s celebrity division, with trendsetters like Rihanna, Kylie Jenner and Usain Bolt sporting their own Puma footwear. The brand recently added recording artist The Weeknd to the roster.
