Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), along with 77 other Colorado businesses, released an open letter Tuesday stating the need for elected officials who believe in the science of climate change and have plans to take action.

“Climate change impacts the $13.2 billion outdoor recreation industry in Colorado as well as the $646 billion outdoor recreation economy nationwide,” said Amy Roberts, OIA executive director. “The outdoor industry is one of the first to feel the impacts of climate change and it is an issue that must be addressed.”
OIA’s Political Action Committee has endorsed a record slate of 23 Congressional candidates, including those in “20 must-win Congressional races,” since September.
