CCM Hockey, a subsidiary of the Adidas Group, donated more than $95,000 in equipment to two in-need, remote hockey programs supported by Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities – the Hockey Skills Academy Program in Sioux Lookout and the Northwest Territories Hockey Schools.
Started in 2015, The Hockey Canada Skills Academy Program provides coaching, training, equipment and jerseys to more than 100 children from Sioux Mountain Public School and Queen Elizabeth District High School.
“At CCM, we understand that community support is integral to the success of youth hockey programs,” said Sean Williams, VP of global marketing and North American sales, CCM. “Supporting programs that make hockey an accessible sport for all children is something we’re extremely proud of. We’re happy to work with Jumpstart to identify communities in need and are excited to see the impact it will have on young players in their programs.”
CCM’s mission in the community is to help players engage with the sport of hockey while helping to alleviate barriers to the endeavor.
