Concurrent with this announcement FGL has closed its limited warehouse operations located in Laval, Quebec and consolidated warehousing in its existing facility in Mississauga, Ontario. This decision affected seventeen (17) employees in the Laval facility.
The Company will continue to rapidly grow its franchise business in Quebec, where it is already the dominant player. For fiscal 2004, FGL plans to open at least 19 franchise stores and renovate or expand 15 others, creating an additional 800 full-time and part-time positions. The office provides a broad range of services to the Franchise owners, including buying, operation support, information technology solutions, marketing, finance, human resources and training.
