361 Degrees will be an official supporter of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. As the exclusive sports brand supporting the Games of the XXXI Olympiad, 361 Degrees will outfit the volunteers, medical staff, referees and operational staff in uniforms including coats, shorts, caps, t-shirts, backpacks and shoes, totaling more than 107,000 uniforms kits.
Additionally, 361 Degrees has the distinct honor of participating in the Rio 2016 Torch Relay. 361 Degrees USA’s President Jim Monahan and Director of International Business Development Jay A. Geier will each serve as torchbearers carrying the flame across Brazil about 200 meters before it reaches its final stop at Maracanã Stadium for the start of the Games on August 5th. Jay Geier ran with the torch on July 19th in Jaboticabal, and Jim Monahan will carry the torch through the streets of Campos de Goytacazes on July 31st.
“It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to carry the Olympic flame and have a presence at the biggest sporting event in the world,” says Monahan. “361 Degrees will be front and center at the Games, and we will stay true to our brand’s mission, and that of the elite athletes participating, by pushing ‘One Degree Beyond,’” says Geier. He added, “By participating in the only worldwide event that seeks to find the commonhuman desire for competitive perfection and represents the epitome of sportsmanship, makes this a lifetime moment to remember.”
