EORA has begun accepting applications from non-profit organizations with youth-oriented outdoor programs for its Outdoor Opportunity Grant Program for 2016.

The Outdoor Opportunity Grant Program was launched in 2013 in an effort to support local communities in each of the three eastern regions served by EORA, an acronym for Eastern Outdoor Reps Association. The program is designed to reflect the philosophy of EORA’s membership by encouraging the engagement of our youth with the outdoors through educational activities and opportunities.  EORA has awarded 25 grants to organizations since the program’s inception.

Each applicant must be a charitable non-profit organization with IRS 501(c)(3) status. Grant amounts are up to $500 ($1500 divide to three different non-profits per region). Past recipients are not eligible.

To apply for a grant, visit www.EORA.org/eora-grant-program. The application deadline is September 18, 2015. All applicants will be notified of their status by November 1, 2015, with awards distributed by April 2016.

EORA is a not-for-profit association that produces regional tradeshows that bring together over 500 sales reps and 2,300 retailers each year in the Eastern US. Initially focused on traditional specialty outdoor, EORA has since expanded to encompass a wide array of retail categories, including lifestyle, specialty run, bike, resort, paddle sports, and more. EORA was founded in 1979 and has grown steadily in membership over the years.
