Escalade, Inc. said Robert E. Griffin, its chairman and former CEO, will retire from its board of directors, effective Apr. 24.
Griffin has served the company in various leadership roles for over 45 years, including service as a director since 1973, chairman of the board since 1999, and as chief executive officer from 1976 until 1999. Griffin continues to beneficially own approximately 16 percent of Escalade's outstanding shares of common stock and is Escalade's largest stockholder.
Escalade's brands include STIGA and Ping-Pong table tennis, Accudart and Unicorn darting; Goalrilla, Goaliath and Silverback sports training equipment and basketball goal systems; and Bear Archery, Trophy Ridge and Cajun Bowfishing hunting products.
