Outdoor Research this month named Mountain Stuff, its sales agency in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and Louisiana, as 2014 Sales Rep of the Year.

Outdoor Research also named West Bay Trading, its sales agency in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, as 2014 Brand Champion of the Year.

The North American Sales Rep of the Year Award is based on territory growth, superior service, brand support and infrastructure investment, among other criteria. This year, Mountain Stuff made numerous investments, both financially and strategically, toward growing sales and awareness of the Outdoor Research brand in the Rockies, said Dave Mahoney, VP of Sales at OR.

Mountain Stuff has completely broken the existing rep model, Mahoney said. They have gone above and beyond in supporting our key dealers and theyve shown a constant desire to improve the way they do business. Sales Growth is always a strong component to this award, but what put them over the top here is everything else they are providing, including event support, marketing, reporting, communication, product feedback and an all-around positive attitude.

The Mountain Stuff team includes Leta Kalfas, Richard Weight, Tyler Noonan and Ashley Tucker.

The Brand Champion of the Year award is based on work done to foster superior awareness of and support for Outdoor Research by virtue of outstanding overall commitment to the brand, Mahoney said.

West Bay Trading has continued to grow sales and spread brand awareness in its territory via amazing event support, unique product presentations, unbelievable service, and a desire to help their dealers in any way they can to be successful, Mahoney said. A strong team and a strong commitment to service are among the many reasons they won this award this year.

West Bay Tradings team includes Walt Mayer, Tom Meier and Michael Kennedy.
