Hakeem Olajuwon, the NBA Hall of Fame center, plans to introduce his
first basketball shoe line, called the 'Dream Shake.' His nickname
during his career was “The Dream.”
“I'm very happy about it because for many years when I was playing I
endorsed many shoe companies and I've always wanted to go from scratch,
build my own brand,” Olajuwon said to FOX 26 Houston. “I'm very excited
to unveil the first Dream Shake shoe.”
The shoes will be unveiled
at his DR34M Mansion this Saturday in the Houston area. The shoes cost
$185 and feature a Vibram outsole. The colors – black, blue, red, orange
and back, and yellow and red – hark back to classic Rockets
colors from his championship seasons in Houston. They can also be
purchased on his website, DR34M.com.
Olajuwon has been selling the DR34M luxury designer brand since 2010.
