Far Bank Enterprises,the parent company of the fly fishing product lines Sage, Rio Products, Redington, and Fly Water Travel has promoted Ryan Hamilton to CEO as the company continues to strength its Senior Leadership Team.
Hamilton most recently served as chief operating officer at Far Bank. He joined the organization in 2020 as chief financial officer and has increased his responsibilities over the last four years, including HR, IT and strategic planning. In addition, Hamilton has stepped into leadership positions in the fly fishing industry, including his current role on the Board of the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA). His track record of modeling growth and profitability “has had an immediate positive impact on Far Bank,” the company reported in a media release.
“I’m honored to step into the role of chief executive officer at such an exciting time at Far Bank,” noted Hamilton. “We have an incredible team and strong foundation built under Kris’ leadership, and I’m committed to building on that momentum. By continuing to innovate and deliver outstanding products and world-class experiences for the fly fishing community, I’m confident we’ll keep elevating our industry and driving Far Bank’s growth for years to come.”
Kris Klein, Far Bank’s CEO since 2020 and long-time member of the Board of Directors, will continue engaging with Far Bank as a member of the Board while also spending the next year onsite at Far Bank to mentor Hamilton and the senior leadership team to ensure a smooth transition.

In addition to Hamilton’s appointment as CEO, Far Bank has continued to evolve and strengthen its Senior Leadership Team.
Mike Moore joined Far Bank as chief revenue officer in 2024, and Tom Larimer was brought on as director of Wholesale Sales to engage with the specialty fly fishing channel. Kurt Beers joined Far Bank as director of IT, complemented by promotions within the organization including Jake Rushing, formally RIO product’s production manager, to director of operations; Chris Walker leading a new function as director of product development-RIO consumables and Peter Knox assuming the new role of director of product development, hardgoods.
