J. America, a licensed apparel company in the collegiate, resort and corporate markets, has signed a licensing agreement with John Deere for men’s and women’s sportswear. The categories include fleece, tee shirts, headwear and lounge wear.
J. America was founded in 1992 and is currently sold in more than 7,000 retail locations throughout the United States. Distribution channels for the license include mid tier and better department stores, specialty stores, sporting goods stores, Farm and Ranch and John Deere dealers.
William Pope, who is an industry veteran in licensed sportswear, outdoor apparel and workwear, will head up the Outdoor Apparel Division for J. America. Pope’s experience and J. America’s proven track record in the industry, combined with the power of the John Deere brand, will prove to be a winning partnership.
Pope said, “Im pleased to join forces with two great companies, J. America and John Deere.”
J. America will be releasing a Fall 2010 John Deere product line in the coming weeks.
