Today, Adidas Basketball showcased the latest iteration of the Dame franchise, the Dame 9, an extension of Damian Lillard’s signature shoe line.

The lightweight shoe, weighing 14.5 oz, features an internal lycra bootie, zoned cushioning in the midsole, a multi-directional pattern, and a density outsole customized for agility, grip, and comfort through cuts and foot strike. Stiffness and support throughout the entire foot length maximizes force transfer, reinforced for durability and protection on high abrasion areas with a Nubuck toe cap.

Following up on Dame 4, Dame 9 once again partners with Bape, taking on the Japanese label’s signature aesthetics and bringing them to the basketball sneaker in two of Bape’s “iconic” colorways—green with gold accents with a gum outsole, a black midsole and a green ABC Camo upper with ABC Line Camo on the collar; the one in red has gold accents with red outsole, a black midsole and a red solid Camo on upper with ABC Line Camo on the collar. A third friends and family iteration boasts a USA-inspired colorway with a tonal Solid Camo upper, ABC Line Camo on the collar and gold accents.

Each pair comes with custom co-branded and tonal Bape Camo sock liners and alternate laces and arrives in a co-branded box.

Adidas rounds out the shoes with a selection of apparel pieces, including a reversible mesh solid black Camo jersey with Adidas’ Dame logo on one side and Bape’s college graphic on the other, matching mesh solid black Camo shorts, co-branded socks, and a special edition Damian Lillard Baby Milo t-shirt.

Adidas said in a media release that the accompanying video campaign showcases Dame’s “continued dependability” and uncovers his always-on mindset, which delivers both on and off the court. “It captures how Dame applies the same mentality that he has on the court to every moment of his life,” Adidas said.

“Whether you’re making headlines in clutch moments or just pulling up in style, we’ve got you,” said Lillard. “This shoe is built for endurance, embodying the relentless grind and dedication it takes to rise to the top. It’s for the grinders, the dreamers and everyone ready to elevate their game. It’s always Dame Time.”

The limited edition Adidas x Bape for Damian Lillard collection will retail be available on Confirmed, the Adidas App, via selected retailers, and Bape.com on August 31.
