Maverik Lacrosse said its second annual Maverik Showtime Lacrosse “National Recruiting Spotlight” is scheduled to start on July 13th and run through July 16th at the campus of
The invitation-only event brings together 160 of the nation's fastest rising sophomore and junior lacrosse players from high schools across the country. Players will be individually assessed by coaches from top Division I, II and III programs (i.e.
“The competition to land a scholarship at an elite college level program is something every lacrosse player dreams about,” said John Gagliardi, President of Maverik Lacrosse. “We feel that we are giving players who might have gone unnoticed the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of some of the nations premier college and university coaches. Plus, it is not very often high school players get the opportunity to be the first receive and use a new line of equipment before the colleges or the pros.”
All of the invited players will receive Maverik DNA shirts, shorts, socks and have the opportunity to be the first to use Maverik's new for 2010 Vision head and Maybach gloves, both available starting in October of 2009.
