Cabela's is planning an 18-day celebration beginning Thursday, May 14, to open its new 80,000-square-foot superstore in Billings, Montana. The event features a lineup of giveaways and celebrity appearances.
The festivities will kick off with a free performance by country singer Lance Combs at 3 p.m. Thursday, with the store's doors opening at 4 p.m. Company founders Dick and Mary Cabela will sign copies of their latest book, “Two Hearts, One Passion,” on Saturday and Sunday. Other appearances include outdoor celebrities Lee and Tiffany Lakosky and fly-fishing legend Jim Teeny.
Cabela's also is giving away a 224-square-foot white pine log cabin valued at more than $18,000, as well as a variety of other prizes, to celebrate the store's opening.
