Jeff Bretherton of Missoula, MT has been named as the seventh board member for the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). Jeff specializes in ranch real estate transfer, high net worth financial planning, development, and fundraising and has served in this capacity for several years.

From 2003-2005 Jeff created the Minnesota Real Estate Foundation where he was able to develop one of the first nonprofit organizations that worked exclusively with charitable gifts of real estate. From 2005-2007 Jeff was the Vice President of Development and Gift Planning for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) where he was integral in raising millions of dollars for RMEF, developing marketing strategies, directing a Capital Campaign in order to construct a new Visitor Center and Headquarters, as well as overseeing a 60% increase in development revenue from 2004-2007. As a result of this revenue increase the RMEF was awarded the prestigious 4 Star rating from Charity Navigator for 2007.

While at the RMEF, Jeff was also responsible for the Conservation Buyer Program that linked great properties with conservation minded buyers. Jeff was invited to join one of the most successful Merrill Lynch teams in Montana in late 2007. The team was responsible for managing over $200 million for both individual and institutional clients.

“Having an opportunity to watch the tremendous growth of NASP and seeing firsthand the impact the program is having on the kids that are participating, led me to make a very easy decision when asked to join the Board. NASP is the model that conservation, hunting and education groups will look toward in the future for leadership in providing youth the opportunity to create a lifelong activity for themselves while improving educational outcomes for all involved.”

The NASP said Jeff’s background and experience in financial planning, development, and charitable giving makes him a tremendous resource to the NASP as it seeks to secure the resources necessary to insure programmatic and financial future of NASP.
