A.K.A. Brands Holding Corp. announced the appointment of Jonathan Yuska as president of its Culture Kings’ U.S. division, reporting to Simon Beard, CEO and co-founder, to its expansion in the United States.
Culture Kings, a streetwear brand, currently operates eight experiential concept stores in Australia and New Zealand and recently opened its first U.S. location at the Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas. The stores offer a nightclub vibe, promote events and offer in-store gamification.
“Jonathan has an extensive, impressive background working with athleticwear and lifestyle brands, and we are confident that he will be an invaluable asset to Culture Kings,” said Beard. “We look forward to having Jonathan on board to lead the brand’s growth in the U.S., both online and in-person, with our first flagship store opening in Las Vegas later this year. We know he will be instrumental in scaling our business into a formidable streetwear lifestyle brand globally.”
Yuska brings over 20 years of experience in growing and leading divisions within sports brands, including Adidas, Reebok and Fila.
Most recently, he was president of rastellis.com. From 2012 to 2017, he was global head of Mitchell & Ness. Earlier in his career, he held creative leadership roles at Adidas, including head of design and instrumental in its exclusive official outfitter deals with the NBA, NFL, NHL, and other leagues. Before that, he held creative roles at Reebok, leading regional collections from its Tokyo office. He also worked for Fila in product creation.
