Himali, a Boulder, CO-based brand specializing in mountain apparel, announced that Ed Viesturs, the renowned mountaineer, will join the company as a partner, athlete and designer.
Viesturs is the only American to have climbed all of the world’s 14 peaks over 8,000 meters (26,246 feet) without the use of supplemental oxygen — a project that lasted 18 years.
National Geographic named Viesturs its Adventurer of the Year in 2005.
Viesturs has also worked with outdoor brands including Mountain Hardwear and First Ascent, as a spokesperson and design consultant.
