Converse announced the appointment of Geoff Cottrill to Converse as
CMO. Cottrill will lead global brand development, drive the marketing
strategy and brand management functions including advertising, sports
marketing, and brand design, communications, retail marketing and
digital for footwear and apparel.

He replaces VP and global marketing director, Dave Maddocks, who left
the company over the summer. Maddocks, who had been with Converse since
2001, helped reestablish the brand with the hip hop/fashion crowd and
also revived Converse's roster of athletic endorsers to include Dwayne
Wade, Kirk Hinrich, Jameer Nelson, Andre Miller and rookie, Acie Law.

Geoff will join the company November 26, reporting directly to Jack
Boys, CEO, and will be based at Converse's headquarters in North
Andover, MA. Cottrill joins Converse with over 23 years of
international and domestic marketing experience.

Cottrill spent the last two and a half years at Starbucks as Vice
President, Global Entertainment where he led marketing, category
development and international divisions overseeing brand positioning,
product development, consumer insights, consumer communication and PR
for all music, film, literature and digital related products.

Before joining Starbucks, Cottrill spent over 9 years at Coca-Cola
Company as Group Director Worldwide, Entertainment Marketing where he
led the global music strategy, film and television integration,
celebrity and product placement marketing efforts across all
brands. Prior to working for Coca-Cola, Geoff worked for Procter
& Gamble, Co. for 11 years in various sales and marketing roles.
