Lucy, the Portland-based women's fitness retailer, won the “2007 Hot Retailer Award” from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). The award went to the “hottest and most wanted” retail concepts shopping centers are seeking for their centers. Other winners were J.Crew, The Little Gym International, Inc., Uniqlo, Ulta and Winestyles.

Lucy was honored at the fifth annual Hot Retailer Awards on Tuesday, May 22 at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. Model and actress Molly Sims hosted the event and was joined on stage by the founders and CEOs from several of the world’s most elite retailers.

The International Council of Shopping Centers is the global trade association of the shopping center industry. Its 70,000 members in the U.S., Canada and more than 80 other countries include shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, lenders, retailers and other professionals as well as academics and public officials.

Lucy noted that it continues to grow at a record pace with five new locations already opened in 2007 including two in new markets, Minneapolis and Boston. In addition, Lucy plans to open fourteen more stores and enter three new markets by the end of 2007 and between 20-30 new stores in 2008.
