Merrell announced the appointment of Alex Brown to vice president of U.S. sales reporting directly to Merrell’s global brand president, Chris Hufnagel.
Brown joins Merrell after having spent his career in the outdoor and active lifestyle industry, most recently serving as senior sales director for The North Face, a division of VF Corp. Prior to that, he founded and managed his sales and marketing agency and previous to that had senior sales roles with Pearl Izumi and Playmakers, a run specialty retailer.

He brings a genuine passion for the outdoors, along with extensive relationships within and beyond the outdoor industry,” said Hufnagel. “We look forward to bringing Alex’s insights and knowledge to Merrell and working with him to continue growing, building, and protecting this iconic brand – along with sharing the power of the outside with Merrell consumers around the world.”
