Norcross Safety Products recently announced a deal to acquire NEOS Overshoes. The deal closed in September 2006, but no details were released until recently. Norcross will be moving NEOS into its Rock Island, IL headquarters. Scott Hardy, founder of Williston, VT based NEOS will serve as a product development consultant for two years. No other personnel at NEOS will move. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Arlen Stensrud, VP of sales at Norcross said that the NEOS product line offered opportunities in consumer retail and industrial safety product categories. Moving forward, staff functions will be handled by Norcross personnel in Rock Island.
