Sun & Ski Sports this falls plans to stores in Mammoth, CA and Park City, UT, the chain’s first stores in those states.
The first of the two to open its doors will be near the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the Mammoth, CA. With a grand opening to take place on November 8, 2019, this new location is rooted at 3343 Main Street.
“There isn’t going to be a staff member here who doesn’t have adventure in their blood,” said Store Manager Andrew Stilwell. “That spirit is what embodies Mammoth in the first place, so we’re going to give it right back.”
The other new Sun & Ski Sports location—which is setting up shop in Park City, Utah—is scheduled to open on November 22, 2019 and will be a prominent fixture in Kimball Junction.
Each of the new stores will feature the industry’s premier winter sports apparel and equipment from brands such as Atomic, Armada, Blizzard, Salomon, Tecnica, K2, Ride, and many more. A full-service ski and snowboard shop will offer sales, rentals, and junior ski and snowboard season leases. A bike expert and bike shop will also be on-site, offering cycling accessories, as well as the latest bicycles to hit the market.
“Our online presence in the Western states has always been strong,” said President and COO Karl Salz. “Outdoor enthusiasts from all over the country have realized what exciting areas Mammoth Lakes and Park City are to visit during any season, whether it be for hiking, camping, biking, skiing, or snowboarding. This will be a way to give those customers knowledgeable and personal service in addition to products from the best brands.”
Whether in California or Utah, locals and tourists alike can also take advantage of casual and active apparel, including clothing, footwear, and accessories from top lifestyle brands like The North Face, Columbia, Spyder, Sorel, and Morrell.
Founded in 1980 and originally a ski and snowboard shop that sold cycling and outdoor gear in the summer, Sun & Ski has 30 stores across the country.
