Knick’s guard Stephon Marbury teamed with Steve & Barry's to introduce the Starbury Collection which is touted as “an arsenal of high-quality apparel and sneakers with extraordinarily lower price points” than similar merchandise sold by the country's other top retailers and manufacturers. The collection features jackets, jeans, hoodies, tshirts, athletic tops and shorts, lifestyle and performance sneakers, work boots, hats and other accessories, with nearly every individual item priced at $10 and under.

The Starbury One basketball shoe retails for $14.95; yes, that was $14.95 a pair.

Setting this venture apart from typical low price-point footwear is Marbury’s plan to wear the Starbury One during games. In this act, Marbury hopes to show that the Starbury incorporates the same technical features for comfort, stability, and durability found in higher price point shoes.

Athletic gear design firm Rocketfish worked closely with Marbury to create the Starbury One, while The Mastermind Group serves as the lead marketing agency under the leadership of Principal Erin Patton, formerly director of the Jordan Brand at Nike for five years.
