Mervin Manufacturing has officially moved to the new sales offices at The Mountain Center in Park City, UT. This new building houses all of the Quiksilver Winter Sports Division brands which are Rossignol, Dynastar, Roxy Skis and Snowboards, and all of the Mervin Mfg. brands, Gnu, Lib Tech and Bent Metal Bindings. For Mervin, all sales, distribution, and customer service will be based at The Mountain Center and shipping and warranty will be based in Ogden, UT.
But wait! Still true to its Northwest roots, all of Mervins US made boards will continue to be designed, tested and built by snowboarders in Sequim, Washington. (Near Canada) Pete Saari, Mervins co-founder and VP of Marketing had this to say. “We were born a Northwest brand and will always be a Northwest Brand. Utah is great but we build full strength boards and drink full strength beer. Being part of The Mountain Center makes us more efficient so were happy to be a part of it.”
Moving down from Seattle is VP of Sales, Greg Hughes. “I lived at 2 different mountain resorts for 10 years and got spoiled by how easy it was to access the slopes, said Hughes. I am so stoked to be back in a resort town so I can go snowboarding 1000 times more than I used to. We can see The Canyons resort from the offices and I know from past sales meetings there that I get a full cell signal when riding.” Said Greg Hughes, Mervin VP of Sales.
Also relocating is former Mervin board builder and outside sales assistant Adam Racioppi who will handle customer service for the West. In addition, the company hired Ginger Hyndman to handle customer service for the Midwest/east. She comes from DC and helps run the DC Mountain Lab in her ‘spare time and generally “kicks ass.”
