<span style="color: #999999;">According to a study conducted by the University of Plymouth’s International Marine Litter Research Center published in the Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, the assumption that switching to biodegradable plastic will reduce ocean-plastic pollution yielded “no advantage” over conventional plastic in reducing ocean pollution.
Plastic bags made of “biodegradable plastic” remained intact with no visible sign of deterioration and useable three years after being dropped in the sea or buried underground.
