Worth Sports is restructuring their Collegiate Fastpitch and Olympian Sports Marketing Department. As a part of this restructuring, Cheri Kempf will join Worth as Manager of Fastpitch Sports Marketing.

There are few people in the world who are as respected in the fastpitch community as Cheri Kempf. We are very proud that she is joining the Worth team to represent us to our collegiate teams and Olympic athletes,” said Robert Parish, President.

In her role, Cheri will report to Jeff Rich, Director of Sports Marketing for the Worth and Rawlings brands. Jeff stated, “Our vision for sports marketing begins with the products. Worth will provide our sponsored athletes with the absolute latest, most innovative performance products on the market and will then place their accomplishments on a pedestal through our branding efforts. Cheri truly understands this vision and I look forward to working with her to accomplish this.”

Cheri will act as the day-to-day contact for each of Worth’s sponsored NCAA fastpitch teams which include Arizona, Baylor, California State – Fullerton, Florida Atlantic, Kennesaw State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas Tech. She will also manage relationships with the sponsored Olympic athletes, which include Stacey Nuveman, Lovie Jung, Leah O’Brien and Michele Smith. In addition, Cheri will be Worth’s liaison to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). These responsibilities will be in addition to her current role as owner of Worth Club K.

About Cheri Kempf:

Cheri Kempf is one of the most well known and highly respected people in fastpitch softball today. Her accomplishments include:

  • At age 13 was MVP of the ASA 13-15 National Title team
  • In college was a 3 time All American, National Champion, and was the National Tournament MVP in 1982
  • As a rookie with the Raybestos Brakettes in 1991, the team won the Olympic Sports Festival Gold Medal and the National Title. Her record that year was 19-0. Repeated as National Champions in 1993.
  • Former U.S. National Team Member (1992), winning a Gold Medal in the World Cup in Beijing, China.
  • Head softball coach at Austin Peay University from 1992-1995.
  • Owner of Worth Club K, Inc., since 1991 –Nation’s Largest Training Entity for girls fastpitch softball
  • Currently one of eleven coaches in the pool selected for the 2004-2008 Quadrenium for the U.S. National Team Staff.
  • Recently named staff member of the Jr. U.S. Women’s National Team
