OGIO announced the appointment of Tim “Fuzzy” Hall, who has been a member of Team OGIO since its beginning, as its new BMX team manager.
Hall, who joined the BMX circuit in 1987 and has helped shape it into the widely accepted sport it is today, will continue to compete in numerous competitions worldwide this year. He was the first rider to successfully throw a 720 in competition, at X Games X, and has been instrumental in building the sport of BMX dirt jumping into what it is today. Halls renowned course-design skills have been compared to crafting a fine wine; even his Kaysville, Utah backyard is a riding mecca and the subject of a video game. And he is a regular fixture on magazine covers, action sport movies, and how-to riding clinics for kids of all ages.
“Joining OGIO was an automatic for me,” Hall explains. “I decided to add this role to my roster because its something I can get really excited about. The quality is top notch and everyone who works here are huge into alternative sports. By helping take the OGIO name deeper into the biking industry, Im doing something Im real proud of.”
In his new position, this riding legend will help expand the OGIO brands distribution, while adding new talent to the companys growing team roster. “The action sports tour has opened a lot of doors for FMX, skateboarding, and BMX. You know youve got corporate Americas attention when NBC devotes entire weekends to our industry. But OGIOs been tapped into this from the beginning. Theyve backed me up with what I want to do and the ideas I have in my head, and I look forward to continuing and building this relationship.”
