Perry Ellis International, Inc. announced that Seth Ellison has been appointed president of action sports/active. Mr. Ellison will report to Oscar Feldenkreis, vice-chairman, president, and COO of Perry Ellis International.
Mr. Ellison will be based at PEI's Redsand office in Irvine, Calif. He will oversee the merchandising, sales and operations for all of PEI's youth lifestyle and swim brands, including Redsand, Jantzen, Nike swim and the newly acquired trademarks from Gotcha International.
“Seth will help us access the potential of the youth and active brand category,” Feldenkreis said. “He will grow our diversified portfolio of lifestyle offerings through licensing opportunities and in-house development of a full sportswear collection. We are now an important player in young men's and we plan to aggressively pursue this market.”
Mr. Ellison had served as a key executive at Nike, Inc. since 1996, most recently as Nike vice president/president Hurley International. He was responsible for launching the Hurley youth lifestyle brand and expanding its global presence through subsidiaries, satellite offices, retail stores, and license agreements.
