Steve & Barry's University Sportswear and Dick's Sporting Goods will join Burnsville Center in Minneapolis, Minn., in space previously occupied by Mervyn's department store. CBL & Associates Properties, owner and manager of Burnsville Center, purchased the former Mervyn's space from May Company last November in order to redevelop the building and bring in large and small space retailers to further enhance the market-dominant mall.
Steve & Barry's will open on Wednesday, September 28, and will occupy 63,000 square feet on the lower level of Burnsville Center. Dick's Sporting Goods will occupy 50,000 square feet on the mall's upper level and is scheduled to open in Spring 2006. The redevelopment will also include an additional 15,000 square feet of space for specialty shops and restaurants on the lower level, also scheduled to open next Spring.
