Jetboil Inc. will unveil its Group Cooking System (GCS) at Outdoor Retailer with a group cooking contest on the first day of the show. Jetboil has invited NOLS alumni to compete against their former NOLS instructors to see which team can create the most appetizing group-sized feast from a given list of ingredients. The contest will be held at noon on August 11th, at the Rock & Ice “Climbing Zone” area (near the 200 & 300 aisles), and will be judged by a panel of experts…
Jetboil's new GCS is intended for greater capacity and versatility, and like the original Jetboil, is twice as fuel efficient as traditional camp cooking systems. The GCS will bring one liter of water to boil in about four
minutes, and integrates burner base, 1.5 liter pot with FluxRingT heat exchanger, integral and collapsible pot grip, pot support, and stabilizer into one compact unit, weighing just 21 oz. Jetboil will be demonstrating GCS benefits and capabilities at OR booth #3900.
“This is the perfect way to demonstrate Jetboil's expanded capabilities, with experiential education experts being among the first to use the new GCS system” said Perry Dowst, co-founder and CEO of Jetboil, Inc. “We wanted to
pit two groups against one another in the spirit of friendly competition, and accusations are already flying from one team about the others' ability to boil water. We made that easy with the PCS, so we're looking forward to
what these seasoned crews can do with an expanded system.”
The winning team will receive a Jetboil GCS for each participant, as well as Jetboil Companion Cup and Coffee Press accessories.
