Sew Cal Logo, Inc., a Southern California-based film wardrobe, hat, and surf wear manufacturing company, has acquired the assets of Action Shirts for cash and stock. The company, also known as “Hangtime,” has been a Huntington Beach icon since 1978.
For the past 27 years, Action Shirts has provided the surfing world with state-of-the art screen printing and graphic design, according to Rick Songer, President of Sew Cal Logo. “We are very excited with the opportunity to join forces with Joe Pearson as he continues to offer his fantastic talent to our company. As Art Director, Mr. Pearson will help expand and create our original “California Life Style” designs for our clients. Acquiring “Hangtime” to our business model adds significant additional revenue and profit to the company,” Mr. Songer stated.
Joe Pearson, owner of Action Shirts, said: “I am very pleased to announce that in joining Sew Cal Logo, Inc. we will now be able to offer a greatly expanded range of products, services, and opportunities to all of our clients who have supported and done business with us over the past 27 years. In addition to state-of-the art screen printing, we now offer private-label garment and accessory production, cap and headwear design with in-house manufacturing, and computer embroidery, along with many other services, all conveniently located under one roof,” Mr. Pearson continued.
