Bridgedale Outdoor Ltd, the producer of performance socks, has donated 5,300 Merino Hiker socks to the nonprofit organization Knock Knock, Give a Sock (KKGS). The socks will be distributed to thousands of people in the New York City area who are affected by homelessness throughout this winter season.
“This generous donation from Bridgedale will truly help the most vulnerable of our community this winter,” said Adina Lichman, founder of KKGS. “Socks are the most needed, but least donated article of clothing for those experiencing homelessness. Now, thanks to Bridgedale and our other partners, we’ll have enough to try to meet the need out there for this winter.”
“We often take socks for granted, but for those who are less fortunate, we understand that socks can make a huge difference in surviving the cold weather,” said Anna Nikolaus, marketing manager at Bridgedale. “When Knock Knock, Give a Sock came knocking on our door, we had no hesitation in making a donation that could provide some comfort to those in need. We’re making this donation to show our appreciation for valuable organizations like KKGS for their ongoing efforts to help those in need.”
