Ugg has tapped multiplatinum rapper and actor KYLE as ambassador for the brand’s second partnership with Footaction.
The marketing campaign showcases Ventura, Calif. native KYLE as he embarks on an adventure around New York City. While in NYC filming his first lead role in Netflix’s original hip-hop comedy “The After Party,” KYLE explores some of the city’s most iconic destinations in Ugg footwear.
“I really love how versatile the UGG styles are,” said KYLE. “I’m a dude from California and I can rock UGG any day. It was dope to be able to partner with UGG and Footaction on this campaign.”

Shot by renowned photographer Chris McPherson, the campaign follows KYLE’s adventure throughout New York City.
- STOP #1 – New York Water Taxi:
KYLE arrives in Manhattan on the New York Water Taxi with Lady Liberty poised in the background. He dons the Classic Toggle, a new waterproof Classic boot with a toggle closure.
- STOP #2 – Central Park:
KYLE pays his respects to his idol and musical genius John Lennon, at the “Imagine” landmark in Central Park wearing the Neumel Color Block, an exclusive style for Footaction.
- STOP #3 – Chinatown:
KYLE fuels up for the day in Manhattan’s vibrant Chinatown wearing the Neumel Waterproof, the best-selling Men’s chukka silhouette is now updated with waterproof features and complete with interchangeable colored laces.
- STOP #4 – West Fourth Street Courts:
KYLE then makes his way to the infamous West Fourth Street Courts, also known as “The Cage”, to shoot hoops with friends while wearing the Harkley, a high-top iteration of the best-selling Neumel.
- STOP #5 – The Last Phone Booth in NYC:
KYLE then pays a visit to the last phone booth in NYC, calling up his SuperDuper Crew while rocking the Neumel Twinface Chukka in the brand’s iconic chestnut colorway.
- STOP #6 – Times Square:
KYLE concludes his adventure in Times Square where he crowd surfs on his surfboard atop a throng of fans while wearing the exclusive Neumel Color Block.

Ugg and Footaction will team up onsite at the highly anticipated, second-annual ComplexCon in Long Beach, CA on Nov. 4 and 5. The brands will host an interactive visual experience where fashion and technology meet art, created by KYLE’s own music. The set-up will feature campaign images and will sell key Ugg styles with Footaction. KYLE is expected to visit the booth on Sunday.
