Zappos has appointed Joe Cano, most recently general merchant of menswear and accessories at Walmart.com, as its chief merchandising officer
The announcement was made on Friday by Scott Schaefer, Zappos’ CEO, in an internal email from Schaefer obtained by Footwear News.
Cano’s hire also follows news in late February of the departure of GM and Chief Merchant Jeff Espersen and Senior Director of Merchandising Mike Normart.
Cano will divide his time working for the company between Los Angeles and Zappos’ headquarters in Las Vegas.
