The Colorado Yurt Company has retained Backbone Media to manage its public relations efforts. Based in Montrose, Colo., The Colorado Yurt Company, formerly known as Advance Canvas Design, was founded in Colorado in 1977 by Dan and Emma Kigar. Since its modest beginnings as a cottage industry company, the Kigars have turned The Colorado Yurt Company into the industry pioneer in shelters and dwellings.
