Yue Yuen Industrial Holdings Ltd. production in Vietnam on Wednesday was suspended due to a protests against Chinese oil drilling in a part of the South China Sea claimed by Hanoi. According to Reuters, thousands of Vietnamese set fire to factories and stormed industrial zones in the south of the country.

Taiwanese companies were said to be impacted the most. Yue Yuen officials said the disruption on Wednesday would not have any significant impact on the business.
