Yakima has created the new “Love It Till You Leave It” limited lifetime warranty. The warranty, which goes into effect on March 1, 2006, covers all Yakima products and accessories for the life of the original owner.
“This warranty demonstrates our dedication to the product line and our confidence in its lifelong durability,” noted Jim Clark, CEO of Yakima Products. “From nine years to ninety years, original owners can rest assured that their Yakima product is guaranteed for life.”
Through this limited lifetime warranty, Yakima will remedy defects in materials or workmanship by repairing or replacing, at its discretion, a defective product without charge for parts or labor. Yakima may also elect to issue the original purchaser a refund equal to the purchase price paid for the product or a credit to be used toward the purchase of new Yakima products or accessories.

In the event that a product is defective, the purchaser should contact the Yakima dealer from whom they purchased the product. Proof of purchase in the form of an original purchase invoice or receipt is required. If the dealer is not able to remedy the defect, the purchaser should contact Yakima in writing or by phone.
