Wolverine signed Jason Cameron, licensed contractor and TV host on the DIY Network, to a multi-year spokesperson contract for the brand.

Wolverine said it selected Cameron based on his “down-to-earth appeal and authentic experience in the category.” A Michigan native, Cameron worked as a carpenter before landing his hosting job on two of the DIY Network's most popular TV shows.

“I've worn Wolverine boots for years — either at work or at home working on projects,” Cameron said. “They are a part of my lifestyle, so when the company approached me to partner with them, it was a natural fit.”

“From the start, we knew that Jason was the right fit for the Wolverine brand and we're thrilled to partner with him,” said Todd Yates, vice president of marketing and general manager of apparel for Wolverine. “He's a great guy who knows his stuff and believes in our products.”

Wolverine kicked-off the new campaign in early September with a sweepstakes featuring Cameron. Participants can enter to win the online Comfort Kickback Giveaway through the company's website, wolverine.com, and can share the promotion details with friends through their social networks.

“The Comfort Kickback program will give Wolverine enthusiasts a chance to meet Jason and win boots and gear, including the company's new line of comfort clothing,” Yates added.

One winner will receive the Comfort Kickback Giveaway Grand Prize including a 46-inch LCD TV with Blue Ray media package, a 7:1 surround sound system and tuner, a Zero Gravity Sanyo massage chair, a $500 gift card package and a meet and greet with Cameron. Other prizes include a Weber Grill, Wolverine Gift Card/packages and weekly prize giveaways. The sweepstakes will run through Nov. 23.
