The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and adidas have launched the adidas WNBA Rookie Report Program. The program will include an adidas-branded section on WNBA.com, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content from the newest WNBA players. Adidas is entering its fourth season as the official on-court uniform and apparel provider for the WNBA.

In addition the adidas WNBA Rookie Report Program will recognize the league’s future stars’ outstanding play during the 2009 season with the adidas Rookie of the Month Awards, the adidas Rookie of the Year Award, and the adidas All-Rookie Team.

“This program will highlight the true depth of these players' accomplishments, as well as give our fans an exclusive look at some of their favorite rookies’ experiences through first-hand accounts,” said WNBA President Donna Orender. “The future of this league is in the hands of the tremendous growth in talent and the spotlight that the adidas Rookie Program places on them is a real service to us all.”

Several top rookies from the 2009 Draft class will provide fans with weekly behind-the-scenes accounts of their first professional season as part of “Rookie Report” blogs on WNBA.com. Players include No. 1 pick Angel McCoughtry (Atlanta Dream), No. 2 pick Marissa Coleman (Washington Mystics), No. 4 pick Renee Montgomery (Minnesota Lynx), and No. 5 pick DeWanna Bonner (Phoenix Mercury).
