Vision Films, Inc. announced the North American Transactional VOD release for the paragliding documentary Wingman on April 15 from first-time filmmaker and eco-entrepreneur Dylan H. Brown.

Fantastic Films International acquired the film for global distribution.

The film follows competitive paraglider Peter Thompson during his third and successful attempt to be the first man to paraglide across Colorado and captures vantage points tens of thousands of feet above the state’s mountain ranges and wilderness and the extremes of the global “bol viv” (flying and camping) competitive sport.

Dylan H. Brown wrote, produced and directed the film. Watch the trailer here.

Lise Romanoff, CEO and managing director of Vision Films, shared, “From a view very few ever get to experience, Wingman shows audiences the beauty and grandeur of our earth. You have to root for paraglider Pete to conquer this seemingly impossible goal.”

Brown said, “When Pete first came to me to document this incredible feat, it was a no brainer. To be the first person — and quite possibly the only person in the U.S. that even has the skillset — to cross Colorado using just the power of the wind seemed like the ultimate adventure — and also nearing the impossible. I knew Pete had the skillset, but he also needed the drive. My biggest fear was this drive would also be his undoing. He literally would be flying over vast wilderness, immense expanses of trees, deep ravines, under perilous cloud forces and all while maintaining an altitude above 13-thousand feet.”

The film also features Sammy Podhurst, Pine Pienaar, Zach Smith, Chris Tomer and Will Gadd.

Wingman will be available on most U.S. cable/satellite providers in the U.S. and Canada and major online platforms, including Amazon Instant, Apple TV, Google Play, and Vimeo, on April 15.
