Eagles Nest Outfitters Vice President of Sales Bobby Jackson has received the Award of Distinction for 2013 from the regional conservation group Wild South in the Outstanding Member Partnership Category.

The award was bestowed at Wild South's 6th annual Roosevelt Ashe Conservation Green Gala March 21 in honor of

Jackson's work on behalf of the non-profit over the last three years, including:

  • providing financial support;

  • sponsoring Wild South events;

  • providing product for Wild South campaigns and promotions;

  • and assisting in the creation of Wild South Wednesdays – weekly spotlights on ENO’s Facebook page featuring regional animals and plants Wild South works to protect.

“I couldn’t be more shocked winning this award,” said Jackson. “Wild South are a joy to work with and such a worthy organization. After all they protect our backyard here in Asheville. I’m humbled and honored to be selected by them.”

“It takes working together with partners all across our region to provide landscape-level protection,” said Benjamin Colvin, Wild South’s Development Director. “Bobby really stuck up for what we stand for here, and we believe it is vital to recognize and celebrate that.”

Jackson joined ENO in late 2009 after working for such brands such as Keen and Arc’teryx. When he’s not slinging hammocks, he enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his wife, Natali, and daughter, Isabella.

Wild South is dedicated to inspiring people to enjoy, value and protect the wild character and natural legacy of the South, including national forests and parks, waterways and wildlife.
